Travelling to St James Park
Newcastle is well served by public transport and has an
effective road system. Newcastle Central Railway System is on the main London
East Coast line and trains run regularly from Kings Cross, London, cross country
from Cornwall and via Edinburgh and Glasgow from Scotland.
We are also well served by air with Newcastle International
Airport taking flights from all the major UK and many European cities. There is
a regular Metro service from the airport into the City Centre taking about 20
minutes and costing approximately £2. Alternatively a taxi will take a similar
time and cost approximately £12.
Those travelling by car will find Newcastle just off the A1,
(north and south). The best exit to take is the A184 exit from the A1 (south of
the city) then you can take the A189 , which takes you across the Redheugh
Bridge, or stay on the A184 which leads you to the Tyne Bridge and central
motorway. Please refer to the map below to check for St. James' Park. Parking is
available on the 1st & 2nd floors of the multi-storey car park at St. James'
Park, which will be available on a first come first served basis.
